π Automating Our Email Signatures β My Two-Week Passion Project
This project was pure fun from start to finish! π It took me around two weeks, and I enjoyed every single part of it.
The idea actually came from a problem we faced internally at Dolf. Our design team had created beautiful HTML signatures in Illustrator for all employees to unify our email branding. But soon we noticed a few issues:
1οΈβ£ The signature formatting changed once it was added to different email clients.
2οΈβ£ Every time a new employee joined, we had to manually design a new signature from scratch.
Thatβs when I thought β why not automate the whole process? βοΈ
I started by figuring out how to convert the signature design into HTML code, then built a simple web page using Next.js. Employees could enter their email address and instantly get their personalized signature, ready to copy into their inbox β¨
Later, I enhanced the system even more: I added admin accounts π©βπΌ so they could manage employee data, edit details, and update the design if it ever changed in the future.
I also designed the entire user interface myself π¨, supporting both Arabic and English languages π and adding a sleek dark theme π to make the experience even smoother and more modern.
To make things easier, I created a user guide π explaining exactly how to use the tool β so no one would ever struggle with setting up their signature again.
Honestly, it was an amazing experience β a small internal idea that turned into something super practical, visually polished, and useful for everyone! π‘π
